COVID-19 AND LOGISTICS: TREND CHANGES, DISCIPLINARY AND PRACTICAL CHALLENGES

Abstract
The pandemic caused by Covid-19 has generated important changes in societies; From these new forms for logistics, the changes are not only evident in the new forms that logistics processes are developed, but also from their field of study, taking into account that technological advances, specifically in logistics 4.0, are the present that before a pandemic, it was considered future. Thus, the objective of this article is to analyze the changes in trends, challenges, disciplinary and practices caused by the pandemic in the logistics area. Through a scientometric and hermeneutical analysis, which takes into account a period before the 2010-2019 pandemic and a period during the 2020 pandemic, the different changes will be analyzed from the disciplinary and practical field of the study area. The main results reveal that the changes in society, accelerated by the pandemic, towards a digital economy have forced companies to make adjustments in their processes based on 4.0 technologies that adapt to changes in the markets. Finally, from the challenges to conceive of logistics is the preparation of companies in the adoption of new disruptive technologies that they incorporate into their logistics processes, however, synergy from the academy is important for the training of professionals who can assimilate these technologies and implement them as a solution in their companies.
